ISLAND FAVORITES
....YOUR HOSTS
|
Marion Melville
A fourth generation Pacific Northwest native, Marion has spent her whole
life living on or near the islands. The island lifestyle suits her
down to earth nature and provides a great opportunity to live a healthy
life, garden, pursue her beadwork, soap making and enjoy the sun and weather
of the San
Juan Islands. |
Doug
Bison
Doug's award winning sculpture is
found in collections throughout the U.S. and he welcomes your visit to his
studio. Don't forget to visit BISON GALLERY, Art of the
Northwest, in downtown Friday Harbor. Doug has lived and worked on San Juan Island for the
past 29 years and he continues to capture the beauty of the Island
wildlife through his bronze art. |
| "......I
think South Beach at American Camp is my favorite part of the island. I go to the
beach at least once a week to refresh my spirit and marvel at its
beauty. In near solitude you can explore and beach comb for hours at
a time. I hope our guests take the time to visit South Beach and
have a chance to enjoy it also." |
".....There
will be as many activities to do during your stay on the island as
you wish. A few absolute "must see" locations include the Roche Harbor
Village, San Juan Vineyards, Lime Kiln Light House, Krystal
Acres Farm , Whale
Watch Park, Whale Museum, The Lavender Farm, and British Camp, just to name a few." |
The annual April Tulip
Festival in La Conner and Skagit Valley. The entire month is a photographer's
dream and truly is, candy for the eyes.
Just one of the many easy and enjoyable day-trips from Friday Harbor....
....and don't forget to bring
your
camera !
